Data deletion instructions
How to ask us to delete your data, including messages you sent to a consultancy on Facebook Messenger, Instagram or WhatsApp.
Who this is for
ConsultMarg is a system that education consultancies use to manage leads and students. A consultancy can connect its Facebook Page, Instagram account and WhatsApp Business number to ConsultMarg, so messages you send it there appear in its shared inbox.
You can use these instructions if you:
- messaged a consultancy on Facebook Messenger, Instagram or WhatsApp,
- are a student or parent whose details a consultancy keeps in ConsultMarg, or
- asked us for a demo or contacted us through this website.
How to request deletion
- Email [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request".
- Include your name, the phone number, Facebook name or Instagram username you used, and the name of the consultancy you contacted.
- Tell us what you'd like deleted, or say "everything".
What happens next
We will reply by email to confirm your request, and again when your data has been deleted.
Where we hold your data on behalf of a consultancy, we may also pass your request to that consultancy, because it decides what it keeps about its students.
If the law requires us to keep any of your data, we will tell you what we have to keep and why.
Data held by Meta
Deleting your data from ConsultMarg does not delete your messages or account on Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp. To manage that data, use the settings in those apps, under Meta's own privacy policy.
